Here Comes the Sun!

For those of you that aren’t followers of Groupon, a daily deal that is e-mailed for your convenience, today’s find was for my favorite shoe stores in Columbia, “Kicks”. By 8:32am over 206 coupons had been purchased for this exceptional store. A frequent Groupon groupie, I know that I have to wait to use my voucher until the following day—but that didn’t stop me from rushing to their on-line look book!

It seems a new IT color for the spring is yellow; very apropos since I started my day with a poached egg over an English muffin! And since I am willing the season to be so already, I thought I would take a break from recipe posting and talk a little about another fab fav of mine—fashion.

So with Picasso in mind this sunny day, “some painters transform the sun into a yellow spot; others transform a yellow spot into the sun” here are some big and small ticket items that will find their way into my home and heart.

I grew up watching cooking shows instead of cartoons. I get whisks and pastry brushes in my Christmas stocking instead of traditional trinkets. My favorite thing to do is frost a cupcake. My undergraduate degree was in Theatrical Costume Design, which means I take pride in how I am presented. I own monogrammed wine glasses, and my own set of Italian Vietri China. I collect English tea cups, and love a good cucumber sandwhich. I shop at J.Crew and Banana Republic and I have traveled to over %9 of the world. This blog began as a travel log while I was abroad, however like most things in life-- plans are subject to change, so here's to good food and good fashion!
